I can’t believe another week has gone by already. It doesn’t seem like it has been long enough for it to be yet another Friday, and it doesn’t really feel like I’ve achieved much over the last week either!
Pole class. Second to last class for the term and even though I was feeling like crap I still got my butt into gear and went there anyway, go me!
Nutrimetics Beauty Club. I had training on Monday night and we did a couple of things, first looked at how to build the business through party bookings. Then second I got to play with the new Professional Colour Illusion Eyeshadows which was great, they are so nice and soft and creamy to use.
Aquapole. Yes another class again this week, I’m really enjoying seeing my girls each week and hoping to book something else in after this so we can keep catching up!
Bellabox. My June bellabox arrived this week as well which is exciting. There was so much in it the box was literally bursting. Can’t wait to get into it and try everything out.
I hope you have had a great week this week. I’d love if you could share the highlights from your week in the comments.
Another week has gone by and I don’t know about you but mine has been pretty jam packed.
Pole class turn private lesson. On Saturdays my pole classes are at 8am, which understandably it’s hard for some people to find the motivation. We’re a few weeks in to term now and it was only me at the last class so it turned into a bit of a private lesson as well which was great.
Lunch with my grandparents. On Sunday I caught up with my grandparents for lunch for the first time in a while which was nice.
Home away from home. With everything that’s going on in my personal life it was nice to take a bit of time away from home and stay at my Dad’s for the week while he was away. My dog and I even enjoyed a nice walk in the reserve that backs on to the house.

Business cards arrived. I ordered some business cards for Nutrimetics and they arrived in the post this week, woohoo!
Nutrimetics Centre Stage. Nutrimetics held a centre stage event called the Professional Make-up Masterclass where we got to hear about the newest eye shadow Nutrimetics have brought out in their professional make-up range.
Monarto Zoo Volunteer Day. I had a lovely day up at the zoo on Wednesday, it was only 2 degrees when I got up there but the sun was shining brightly and it turned out to be a lovely day.

Aquapole. Another week and another workout with a couple of my girlfriends, I am enjoying being able to see them every week!
See what I mean about a jam packed week! I hope you all had a great week and please feel free to share your highlights in the comments.
At the end of a long, hard week I really do find it’s a great idea to sit back and reflect on all of the good things that have happened. Even if you think you’ve had a crappy week, there’s still some good that helps to balance it out.
Shopping. Last Saturday I went shopping at Harbourtown with my Mum for her birthday. I bought a couple of tops and a Kim Kardashian handbag, which can you believe I got for $10?!
Beauty Club Training. I attended my first Nutrimetics Beauty Club Training night on the Monday night. There was info about the company and how to make money, and I also learnt how to give someone a facial which is good. I’m glad I now have a practical skill to go with these new products!
Nutrimetics Kit Delivery. I got my Nutrimetics Kit on Wednesday. I can’t believe how much was in the kit, over $400 worth of products, and I have effectively gotten it for free now that I’ve hit $250 of sales, woohoo!
Aquapole. I’ve been doing aquapole classes every Wednesday with a couple of friends which provides a new kind of awkward challenge!
Another Nutrimetics Delivery. I ordered a few things for myself, I figure if I’m going to be selling it, I need to know how more about the product I’m selling, right? So not only did I get everything that I ordered, I also got a free gift for going to my first training session, an eyeshadow palette and liquid liner. Plus I was able to pick up a hand wash and White Age cleanser for only $12 as part of my order. And of course everything that I actually bought was on sale as well.
Lots of this week has been focussed on Nutrimetics as I’ve been busily trying to get everything set up with the business. So a pretty full on but also a quite exciting week.
I’m a bit late with the Friday Favourites, but a few good things happened over the past week, so late or not I’m going to share what has been going on. I hope you have all had a great week as well, as always feel free to share with me any highlights from your week.
The High Tea Party. A couple of girlfriends and I went to The High Tea Party last weekend which was held at the Hilton Hotel in Adelaide. It was a lovely event with nice food and lots of shopping stalls as well. So all very bad for the waistline and wallet, but still a lot of fun!
Massage. I had a remedial massage last Monday by a guy who I haven’t been to in years. He used to come into my old work and do office massages but then finished up with that company and I’d lost contact with him till I heard about another lady I know seeing him and was able to get his number. It was excruciatingly painful because I haven’t had a proper remedial massage in so long, but then my body felt so good and was holding so much less tension in the muscles.
The Big Chop. I had all my hair cut off. Ok well, not all of it, but a significant amount of it. I’d kept my hair long, I don’t mind long hair and my now ex-partner preferred it long. But then I decided it’s time to go back to having short hair which I absolutely love, and it just feels oh so good!

Nutrimetics. At The High Tea Party the Nutrimetics company was there and I’d been tossing up whether or not to join as a Consultant and so I took the opportunity to chat with a couple of the ladies about how the company is run and what the profits are for it. In the end I decided to join up. I’m a bit nervous and a bit excited about the opportunity.
Lunch. On Thursday I caught up with one of my work mates for lunch which was nice. We haven’t gone out for a while so it was nice to sit down and have a good chin wag for a while.
How was the last week for you all, was it a good one?
What a productive week I’ve had, so much has been going on!
Pole class. I had my dance class on Saturday and we started learning the routine this week which is always fun.
Shopping. I met up with a couple of girlfriends on Sunday and we went looking for clothes to wear to a high tea that we’re going to in a couple of weeks. Well they looked, I was just there for the company as I already have a dress to wear.
Pamphlet delivery. So I signed up to do pamphlet delivery, the pay is crap really but I thought why pay to go to the gym and walk when I can get someone else to pay me to walk. So we’ll see how it goes.
Lunch. I went to lunch with a girlfriend which was nice, it was good to catch up, we haven’t been out for a while.
Coffee and cake. One of my staff took me out for coffee and cake today, she had noticed that things hadn’t been so great for me lately and was worried about me. It was nice to have someone just notice like that and ask if I was ok.
How has your week been? Did anything special happen?
The last week has gone really quickly, there’s been heaps happening at work and in my personal life it’s all just sort of zoomed past.
New term of pole. Last Saturday I started a new term at my pole dancing studio. The first class back can be the hardest I find because it’s revision of tricks from the previous term and so is really intense! But it still felt really good to be back despite the sore muscles.
Shopping. After my pole class I met one of my girlfriends at a shopping centre in one of the richer Adelaide areas (Burnside for any Adelaidians reading, so you know what I mean). Oh my gosh there were some absolutely gorgeous clothes there, but though I earn a decent salary it’s just not decent enough to buy anything there.
Mothers day. Last Sunday was Mothers day and so I took my Mum up to Monarto Zoo, I’m not sure that she’s ever been before so it was a great experience for her and turned out to be a not too bad day which is good.
Solicitor. This might be an odd one to call a highlight, but given everything that’s happening with mine and my former partners separation, it was time to bring in a solicitor to get some advice so that I had a better understanding of how to get everything resolved. The solicitor I saw today was good and I feel much better now I have a better idea of what I need to do and what the possible options for settlement are.
Window shopping. I didn’t feel like going straight home after work and so I decided to go into the city because they do late night shopping on Friday nights, so I just wandered around and looked at things, tried a couple of pieces of clothing on…noticed they don’t actually go on sale until tomorrow, so I’m going to go back to the local store and pick them up when they’re on sale tomorrow lol.
How has your week been? Are there any highlights you would like to share?
The last been has been a hard one. Not particularly busy but hard because I’ve just been kinda mopey and struggling to get out of my funk. There were still a few highlights that happened but this coming weekend is going to be better.
Soaps are ready! Four weeks ago I made my first attempt at making soap, but cos I used the cold method I needed to wait a few weeks for it to cure before it was ready. Time was up on Saturday so I wrapped them up in nice little packages and I have a couple that I’m going to give out so I can get other people’s opinion on them.
Lunch with my grandparents. On Sunday I caught up with my grandparents for lunch who I haven’t seen for ages. It was nice to catch up with them after so lunch.
Lunch with Sales VP. During the week I caught up for lunch with our regional Sales VP and we were talking about a conference coming up which I want to go to, and he’s keen to get clients to go to. We struck a deal, if I can get 5 clients to register for the conference he will pay for me to go to the conference. I’m pretty excited by this and so trying to do whatever I can to make it happen.
Rental property valuation. To make things a bit easier on myself I am going to sell my rental property and use some of the money from that to pay off part of the mortgage on this house (I’m keeping the house as part of settlement). I had a call from my agent who valued the property for me and I was really pleasantly surprised at how much it will sell for and how much profit I’ll get, so that was a highlight of course!
How was your week, are there any highlights you’d like to share?
It has been a rather eventful week for me and not really in the best way possible. My partner and I have decided to separate. I wanted to do a trial separation to see if the time apart would help, but when we talked about expectations during that time, it turns out he just wasn’t interested in doing anything to help or change. So that’s the end sadly.
There were still some good things that happened over the last week though, so I’ll share a few of them now.
Family day. My step-mum has been wanting to see Monarto Zoo for a while so last Saturday my Dad and I took her up there and we had a nice day going around and seeing all of the animals.
30th birthdays. A couple of my old high school buddies, who are actually married, had their joint 30th birthday over the weekend so it was nice to be able to celebrate with them. There was also an old friend there who I hadn’t seen in a really long time so it was great to be able to catch up with him too.
Long weekend. Oh I love a long weekend. Monday was a public holiday called Anzac Day where we have dawn services and such to remember those ANZACs who fell during the war.
Anzac Day lunch. At work we decided to hold an BBQ for Anzac Day. I brought in a portable BBQ and baked some Anzac cookies and the boys brought some snags so we trundled down to the soldiers memorial at the park just down the street from work. The weather even managed to be nice and sunny for us while we were there so it was lovely.
Aquapole. A girlfriend and I heard about this new craze hitting Australia called Aquapole, and as someone who enjoys both pole dancing and being in the water I thought this was a really cool idea. So, we have both signed up for classes! The first term doesn’t start until 25th May though so we have a bit of a wait but I’m also quite excited about it.
How has your week been? Are there any highlights you’d like to share?
Not a lot has happened over the past week, things have been relatively quiet. Socially anyway. Work has been an absolute nightmare though and has been incredibly busy! I don’t have much to share by way of highlights this week because I’ve done really not much at all, partly because last weekend I was virtually couch and bed bound with a sore neck and shoulder, and partly because work has been so tiring I’ve been falling asleep really early in the evening!
Conflict resolution. This might be an odd one to highlight I know, but as a new manager I’ve not had to do any sort of conflict resolution with my staff..until this week. There was a bit of an email squabble and so I brought everyone into my office and got them to talk about it with my guidance. It actually went really well I thought, there was a lot of tension eased by doing that, so overall I was happy with it.
Afternoon tea. I caught up with one of my staff for afternoon tea and to have a bit of a one on one chat. She’s been driving me nuts lately with all her bitchiness and whining so it was a good opportunity to try and nut out why she’s acting that way, and there’s a few reasons I suspect, such as me being promoted instead of her, and unfortunately she’s just going to have to get over it cos that’s just the way it is. But nevertheless it was good to have a bit of an open chat and touch base.
Dietician. I saw my dietician for the first time in a couple of months. I’d been concerned that my eating was starting to get out of control again but she helped me see that it actually isn’t as bad as I see it in my head which is good.
Movies tonight. Soon my partner and I will be off to the movies, we’re going to see the new Divergent movie. I can’t remember the last time I went to the movies so I’m looking forward to it.
Despite a rather slow week, there are a few things I’m looking forward to over the next week like going to Monarto Zoo tomorrow, not as a volunteer but because my step-mum has been wanting to go for a while. There’s a friends 30th birthday as well and a public holiday on Monday for Anzac Day, so I’m looking forward to having a long weekend too.
Are there any highlights you would like to share?
This past week has actually gone by really quickly, I can’t believe it’s mid-April!
Africa holiday. I mentioned last week that I had decided to go on an African Safari holiday through Tanzania and Rwanda. Last weekend I forked over quite a sum of money for flights and the safari deposit, so that’s it, I’m really going!
Flexibility class. On Saturday I had my weekly flexibility class, and my stretchiness is definitely improving which is great.
Friends birthday dinner. One of my closest girlfriends turned 30 last Sunday so she left the kids at home with her parents and we caught up for dinner on the Saturday night which was awesome, we had a really good time.
Family catch up. On Sunday my partner and I caught up with my Dad and Step-Mum for lunch and then headed over to my grandparents place for afternoon tea. It was nice to catch up and spend some time together, we don’t really do it too often.
Monarto Zoo. I had a volunteer day on Wednesday and am now officially a “Mallee Minder”, yay! The highlight for the day up there was rounding up the wallabies for their vet check, oh man that’s a lot of effort.
I hope you all had a great week, if there are any highlights you’d like to share just add them in the comments!
